Bassin de l'Adour Faience, Floral Plate, Early 19th century

£95.00
Sold

This early 19th-century faience plate from the Bassin de l’Adour in Southwestern France is decorated with a large spray of flowers in the centre and further foliage on the lip. It showcases a vivacious and almost abstract decor in a vibrant palette of blue, green, yellow and manganese that stands out beautifully from the white base. With an expressively shaped edge and a slight wobble on the lip, this rare plate is highly textured.
