This rare 18th-century French faience bough pot from Nevers takes the shape of a commode with an ample round chest, complete with ornate details such as drawers, handles, and gilt bronze decorations. It showcases a joyful polychrome decor in an array of imaginative patterns, with green legs with lines, spongeware patterns on the top and two charming country scenes in blue on both sides. Its top features 15 openings.
