Nevers Faience, Ornate Inkwell, 18th century

£95.00

An 18th-century French faience inkwell from Nevers. It showcases an abundance of patterns, with the sides decorated with a lively frieze of beads surrounded by lines, while the top is surrounded by another frieze of chevron patterns and flowers around the holes of the inkwell. It also features an elegant round triangle shape. With a generous decor in blue, yellow, and green, this charming utilitarian object makes a unique decorative pottery piece.
