This late 18th-century French faience plate from Nevers is decorated with a juicy pear on a branch, surrounded by leaves and flowers. The lip is decorated with further blue flowers and the edge is delicately shaped. With an abundant palette of orange and greens, this beautiful plate is characteristic of the country decors favoured by Nevers.
