An 18th-century Dutch Delft plate, decorated in blue and white with an orange line to the edge. The centre features a chinoiserie landscape with a folly set beside a lake, surrounded by rocks, leafy trees and a figure on a bridge, all within a circular scalloped reserve. The lip features a frieze of scrolls and foliage. Bold brushwork and lively patterns in the frieze add movement to the plate, while the characterful details of the landscape lend an evocative, figurative quality.
A bright Dutch Delft plate, unrestored and in very good condition.
