Pair of Moustiers Faience Garlic Neck Vase Lamps, Early 19th century
A pair of early 19th-century French faience vases from Moustiers, converted to table lamps. They feature a classic octagonal garlic neck form, inspired by Delftware.
Each vase is decorated on a striking yellow ground with two sprays of roses and tulips in blue, orange, green and manganese, alternating with lively foliage and florals on the sides and neck.
A rare and colourful pair, marked underneath, with an unusual combination of a bright Moustiers decoration and elegant Delft form.
