Spanish Teal Blown Glass Ewer with Stopper, 19th century

£400.00

A 19th-century Continental blown glass ewer, possibly Spanish or from the South of France. The round body is raised on a piedouche foot, rising to a long neck with a frilled rim, and fitted with a thin handle and an elongated, scrolling spout. A large round stopper completes the piece. The glass carries a teal blue tint throughout and captivating blown textures, from tiny bubbles to thicker glass where the handle joins the body.

A striking blown glass ewer of impressive scale and form.
